I wanted to write a book to not only educate, enlighten, and inspire but also be a deterrent to those who do not fully appreciate the complexities of running a business. I hope I managed to achieve that...
I launched the UK’s first dedicated business start up publication aimed at promoting entrepreneurship back in 2004. For over two decades it has been in circulation and remains in its original print form as well as a digital platform with multi-media channels.
Founded Gambit Equity & Partners, a medium-sized investment firm providing access to funding from institutional investors and government initiatives.
I joined the board as Chairman of Business Enterprise, a Non-Profit Initiative, aimed at assisting entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities and those that need assistance the most.
I served as a public policy adviser for initiatives funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in the UK, promoting entrepreneurship I went on to run initiatives with the European Social Fund and the London Development Agency to support enterprise support within diverse communities and areas of regeneration.
‘Start Your Business TV’ was available on the SKY Digital Broadcasting Platform2008 . With our own in-house productions and exclusive content, it was an incredible experience working with such a creative and talented team. This was before broadband and the YouTube era, so it's an achievement that I’m very proud of!
I wrote the book, Start Your Business:The Ultimate Business Start-Up Guide. The culmination of nearly two decades of overseeing editorials in the UK’s most popular small business magazine. It’s a great book for anyone looking for no-nonsense approach to starting a small business in the UK.
